Nikola Belley has been my illustrator for my Triple Creek Ranch series as well as artist for the covers. She really brings the characters to life with her pen or her brush, and I always get asked about the illustrations in these books. Nikola also did the drawings for “The Lower Lights” and some of the artwork in “Pirates of Rocky Crag Bay.” Her work is beautiful.

Nikola is an incredibly gifted artist and designer. She has a unique ability to introduce completely original ideas while staying within the framework of a given historical setting, director's parameters, etc. I have had the opportunity to work with her on several major design projects for film and theater, and have always thoroughly enjoyed the process, from start to finish. Nikola always shows particular skill in designing women's fashion - her ability to show grace and flowing movement in the few strokes of a pencil is breathtaking.
